Andrew J. Czekaj is the Manager and Co-Founder of Cambridge Holdings LLC and its operating subsidiaries with a primary focus on the strategic direction of the company, capital structures and new business opportunities. Mr. Czekaj has an extensive background in commercial real estate including development, project capitalization, asset acquisition/disposition as well as asset restructures.
Mr. Czekaj has been instrumental in the development, financing, acquisition and structuring of over $7.5 billion of commercial real estate. Mr. Czekaj has structured the development and acquisition of more than 24 million square feet of office and industrial product on behalf of partners and clients. Since 2020, he has spearheaded the effort into logistics and distribution— structuring the acquisition of 10 million square feet of industrial space. The portfolio spans from the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic to the Southeast region. In addition, he was instrumental in restructuring a $1 billion-plus commercial and residential portfolio concentrated in the Mid-Atlantic, Southwest and Florida markets.
Mr. Czekaj is a co-founder of Self Storage Zone, a self-storage platform that developed and acquired in excess of 3.5 million square feet of self-storage facilities valued at more than $500 million in the New York, Washington, DC metro and Florida markets. Currently, Self Storage Zone is developing four new facilities in the Washington, DC metro market.
Mr. Czekaj is an alumni of Rutgers University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He attended The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, then obtained his Master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. Mr. Czekaj is a member of NAIOP. Mr. Czekaj served for nine years on the Board of Trustees for Rollins College and as a board member of the Stimson Center through 2018.
T. Michael Scott is the Co-Founding Principal of Cambridge Holdings LLC and Senior Executive of its operating subsidiaries. Mr. Scott has 37 years of comprehensive experience in real estate, including land planning, development, asset management, leasing, acquisition, financing and asset disposition.
Mr. Scott has directed lease and sales transactions for retail, office and industrial projects in excess of 17 million square feet and serves as the Principal Broker of Cambridge. Mr. Scott directly oversees the Development Group, which has developed 7.2 million square feet as well as two 30-acre parks. NAIOP recognized six of his developments as Outstanding Projects of the Year in Virginia and Maryland. Recent projects in Texas include the Worlds Largest Sous Vide plant, a 311,000 square-foot food processing facility valued at $200 million and Amazon, a 350,000 square-foot distribution center valued at $43.3 million. Recent projects in North Carolina and Pennsylvania include 650,000 square feet of healthcare facilities for the Department of Veterans Affairs valued at excess of $275 million, and current development is underway on twin 100,000 square-foot Class "A" office buildings in one of San Antonio's Opportunity Zones.
Mr. Scott founded Scott Capital Management, which also oversees investments in real estate and financial assets and retains broker licenses in 3 jurisdictions. Mr. Scott is Co-Founder of Shore Breeze Farms LLC which sustainably grows hydroponic vegetables in rural Virginia Opportunity Zones.
Mr. Scott is an honor graduate of Cornell University, where he obtained a degree with distinction in Operations Research Engineering. He earned his Master's degree at the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. Mr. Scott serves on the Executive Board of the YPO Gold Washington DC - Baltimore Chapter and was awarded the International Best of the Best Award as Chapter Chairman for 2017- 18. He is an active member of NAIOP and ULI. He serves on the Board Cuisine Solutions, Inc. and previously on the board of two other publicly traded companies; Tier Technologies (NASDAQ) and American Community Properties Trust (AMEX).
Benjamin R. Eldridge, Jr. is a Principal of Cambridge Holdings LLC. Mr. Eldridge is responsible for the oversight of Cambridge Property Group LLC (Leasing), Cambridge Asset Advisors LLC (Property Management), as well as strategic direction and coordination of a 4 million square foot plus management portfolio. Mr. Eldridge's experience includes the oversight of the $8.5M repositioning of 2000 Corporate Ridge on behalf of Westport Capital, representation of UBS Realty in its lease with Booz Allen Hamilton for 112,000 square feet, as well as successfully negotiating the acquisition of the site selection for Coastal Sunbelt Produce's distribution facility totaling 300,000 square feet. He has been actively involved in several key acquisitions in the last two years with a transaction value in excess of $100 million and serves as a member of the Investment Committee.
Mr. Eldridge joined Cambridge Property Group LLC in 1995 as a Project Manager responsible for the leasing and marketing of multi-story office properties in Northern Virginia. Mr. Eldridge has negotiated several million square feet of lease transactions with a combined value in excess of $1 billion on behalf of a diverse group of entrepreneurial and institutional property owners. Mr. Eldridge's experience has included assignments with UBS Global Asset Management, BlackRock, MassMutual (Cornerstone), Citigroup and Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance, as well as several high net worth individual investors.
With over thirty years of experience, Mr. Eldridge is a respected senior member of the Washington, DC metro commercial real estate community.
J. Andrew Czekaj, III is a Principal of Cambridge, with a focus on acquisitions, leasing and business development. Mr. Czekaj brings a unique perspective to the company, having worked on commercial sales transactions and tenant representation. He is responsible for a leasing portfolio containing 2.5 million square feet on behalf of institutional and high net-worth clients.
Since 2007, Mr. Czekaj has participated in more than $1.5 billion of lease and sales transactions in the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Southeast regions. Over the last 2 years, he has worked on the acquisitions of 10 million square feet of industrial product including logistics, cold storage, and last mile distribution. Prior to joining Cambridge, he was a partner on the Morris and McNair team at Avison Young, where he led business development efforts for the top brokerage team in the country. Mr. Czekaj generated and closed in excess of 250,000 square feet of lease transactions which included clients in regional firms, associations and national technology companies.
Mr. Czekaj earned his MBA from Roy E. Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College with a dual concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship. He obtained his B.S. in Political Science from Rollins College. Mr. Czekaj is a member of Real Estate Group, a member of NAIOP and the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors (GWCAR). He is a licensed salesperson in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia.
Susan M. Smith is the Chief Financial Officer at Cambridge Holdings LLC. Mrs. Smith’s primary focus is directing Cambridge Holdings LLC’s corporate accounting functions, property management accounting, lease administration and Self Storage Zone’s accounting functions.
Since joining Cambridge Holdings LLC as an Accounts Payable Specialist in 1997, Mrs. Smith has continued to grow within the company being promoted to Property Management Accountant in 1999, Senior Property Management Accountant in 2004, Director of PM Accounting & Lease Administration in 2011 and Chief Accounting Officer in 2017. She has knowledge of both cash and accrual books which has enabled her to handle all aspects of corporate and property management accounting including monthly reports, budgets, year end audits and CAM reconciliations.
Under Mrs. Smith’s leadership, Cambridge Holdings LLC’s client base was expanded in 2014 to include Self Storage Zone’s accounting. This includes accounting services during the development, lease up and disposition of self-storage locations in Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia.
Mrs. Smith has over 37 years accounting experience with 21 of those being in the real estate industry. She also has over 17 years Management Reports International experience and 5 years YARDI experience.
Katherine C. Freehof is Senior Vice President of Cambridge Holdings LLC. Ms. Freehof is responsible for the oversight of the company’s property management and construction divisions. She is also involved with the leasing of over 2.8 million square feet of office, flex, and industrial properties on behalf of institutional and entrepreneurial landlords throughout the DC Metro area.
Ms. Freehof returns to Cambridge from Newmark Knight Frank’s Las Vegas office where she worked with the Crooks/Tabeek team and represented office tenants and landlords throughout the valley. Prior to Newmark Knight Frank, Ms. Freehof was an Associate Vice President at Cambridge Property Group, the leasing subsidiary of Cambridge Holdings, where she specialized in landlord representation, with projects totaling more than 2.5 million square feet. Ms. Freehof's varied background also includes media relations, corporate reputation management, and brand-building campaigns for financial organizations and real estate companies.
Ms. Freehof obtained her Master of Business Administration from the Crummer Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Rollins College. She is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP Northern Virginia Chapter), Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW Northern Virginia Chapter), the Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association (CREBA), and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Ingo Mayr, CCIM is Executive Vice President of Cambridge Property Group LLC. Mr. Mayr is responsible for the leasing of a suburban mixed-use portfolio totaling approximately 3.8 million square feet of office, flex and industrial space on behalf of a diverse client base. Over his years of service with Cambridge, Mr. Mayr has negotiated several million square feet of lease transactions totaling in access of $1.5 billion dollars and over $400 million in sales transactions. With over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, Mr. Mayr’s skill and dedication continue to provide invaluable results for his clients.
Mr. Mayr's experience has included assignments with UBS Global Asset Management, Development Diversified Retail, PS Business Parks, MassMutual (Cornerstone) and Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance as well as several high net worth individual investors. With over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate representing both landlords and tenants, Mr. Mayr has the knowledge and dedication to provide clients with maximum results.
Mr. Mayr graduated from the University of Maryland with an undergraduate degree in finance and then pursued a graduate degree in international business. He received his CCIM Designation in 1993.
William B. Czekaj is Vice President at Cambridge Property Group LLC with a primary focus on Landlord representation in suburban Virginia and Maryland, William has a key team member responsible for the leasing of twenty projects totaling 2.7 million square feet of office and industrial space. Over the past few years, he has participated in leasing transactions totaling 1.75mm square feet. Mr. Czekaj has over 10 years of experience in commercial real estate and has participated deals in excess of $200 million of lease transaction value.
He began his career in commercial real estate in the summer of 2009. Mr. Czekaj has over nine years of experience in commercial real estate and has participated in excess of $115 million of lease transaction value. Mr. Czekaj’s clients have included General Electric Credit Equities, Inc., UBS, Northwestern Mutual Life, PS Business Parks, Avalon Bay, Bresler & Reiner, Inc., as well as high net worth investors/partners. He is a member of NAIOP Northern Virginia.
Mr. Czekaj obtained his B.A. in History from Rollins College.
Ali D. Frazier is a Senior Marketing Coordinator and Graphic Design Professional at Cambridge Holdings LLC. Ms. Frazier is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing marketing and advertising communication strategies to further business growth, enhance brand recognition, and maintain brand uniformity throughout all divisions of Cambridge Holdings LLC. Her primary focus is to support B2B marketing across all platforms, utilizing digital and print media such as email and social media communications, online newsletter advertisements, space plans, flyers, and brochures, as well as promotional event planning and exhibition-related projects.
Prior to joining Cambridge Holdings LLC, Ms. Frazier was an entrepreneurial artist commissioned in both public and private art while also assuming the role as department coordinator for Community Radiology and later marketing manager for both Advanced Radiology and RadNet Inc. where she successfully managed over 1,000 marketing projects, comprised of more than 10 different brands, located in 5 Eastern States.
With over 8 years of experience creating and executing strategic marketing communications and over 20 years of hands-on experience as a creative in the field of visual art and design, Ms. Frazier’s unique expertise contributes a fresh and innovative approach to commercial real estate marketing at Cambridge Holdings LLC.
Ms. Frazier obtained an Associate of Fine Arts in Studio Art and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Communications from University of Maryland.
Adam W. Pyles is the Executive Vice President of Cambridge Development Group LLC. He is a seasoned Project Executive who has successfully executed over $500 million of commercial projects. Mr. Pyles pursues continuous cultivation of strategic value clients through customer-focused service, building relationships, developing trust, and emphasizing a team approach. He directs all phases of the building process from project inception through design, permitting, construction and occupancy. He is responsible for the overall administration of design and construction contracts, equipment purchases and coordination, schedule, and cost control. He also leads both the design and construction phases of the project to identify and address the Owner's needs and concerns. Mr. Pyles obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1991. He's currently affiliated with Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), the American Society of Healthcare Engineers, and the NC Hospital Engineers Association. Mr. Pyles is also certified in OSHA 30 HR, ASHE, Life Safety 101, and First Responder.
Carmen L. Davis is a Senior Property Manager with Cambridge Asset Advisors, LLC. She currently oversees a multi-owner portfolio comprised of over 530,000 square feet of commercial office space located in Northern Virginia. Ms. Davis has 23 years of experience in commercial management, and brings to Cambridge Asset Advisors, LLC a diverse background which includes working with both Government and private sector tenants, building acquisitions, re-visioning and rebranding, construction, and an acute knowledge of property management accounting. Under the leadership of Ms. Davis, two Park Center buildings in Virginia have received LEED EB Certification.
She is currently involved with the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) and U. S. Green Building Counsel (USGBC).
Matthew J. Frey is a Senior Property Manager with Cambridge Asset Advisors, LLC. He currently oversees a multi-owner portfolio comprised of over 800,000 square feet of commercial office and flex space located in the Northern Virginia and Maryland region.
Mr. Frey has twenty years of experience in commercial and residential management and brings to Cambridge Asset Advisors LLC a diverse background which includes building acquisitions, re-visioning and rebranding, construction and an acute knowledge of property management accounting.
He is currently a Certified Property Manager (CPM) Candidate through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).
Stephanie L. Tavenner is the Vice President of Cambridge Construction Group LLC. As Vice President, Mrs. Tavenner oversees the construction division and is actively involved in the management of the day-to-day construction operations. She has P&L responsibility for the division reporting to the executive committee of Cambridge Holdings LLC. In addition, she holds the Class A Contractor License for the division. Stephanie brings over twenty years of experience to Cambridge from budgeting to senior roles in accounting. With her continued growth and contributions to the enterprise, Mrs. Tavenner has proven to be a valuable asset.
Since joining Cambridge Holdings LLC as the Payroll Coordinator/AP Specialist in 2000, Mrs. Tavenner has continued to grow within the company. In 2003, she was promoted to Construction Coordinator and continued to earn positions such as Accountant in 2004, Senior Accountant in 2017, Controller in 2019, Director of Construction in 2021, and Vice President of Construction in 2024.
Mrs. Tavenner has over 20 years’ experience with Management Reports International and Sage Software.
Brian R. Lowe is a Project Manager with Cambridge Construction Group LLC. Mr. Lowe is involved in Cambridge Construction Group LLC’s innovative construction process from budget management, trade coordination, and business relations to contract negotiations, project estimating, schedule development, information tracking, document preparation, building codes, and OSHA safety standards.
Mr. Lowe has close to 20 years of construction management expertise which includes 10 years of experience managing the commercial construction process in the Washington, D.C. Metro area and another 8 years managing Federal construction projects nationwide. Utilizing his multi-faceted background, Mr. Lowe has been a valuable asset to Cambridge Construction Group LLC, maximizing productivity and efficiency with every project from initial design to close-out.
Mr. Lowe graduated from ECPI University with a Bachelor of Science.
Laura J. Benavides is the Vice President of Finance at Cambridge Holdings LLC. Ms. Benavides’ primary focus is managing Cambridge Holdings LLC’s corporate accounting functions, to include Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivable and Cash flow.
Since joining Cambridge Holdings LLC as the Payroll Administrator in 1997, Ms. Benavides has continued to grow within the company being promoted to Accounting Manager in 1999, Controller in 2004, and VP of Finance in 2006. She has knowledge of both cash and accrual books which has enabled her to handle all aspects of corporate and property management accounting including monthly reports and budgets.
Ms. Benavides has over 32 years accounting experience with 22 of those being in the real estate industry. She also has over 20 years Management Reports International experience.
Michael D. Davis is a Director Emeritus of Cambridge Holdings LLC. Mr. Davis is a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, which are responsible for strategic direction of the company.
His distinguished 50 plus year career encompasses an association with several major organizations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Mr. Davis was Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer at Cambridge Holdings LLC from 1990-2002. In addition, Mr. Davis had day-to-day oversight of Cambridge Asset Advisors LLC and Cambridge Construction LLC during this time period. From 1986 to 1990, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Cambridge Holdings LLC and its operating subsidiaries. Before joining Cambridge Holdings LLC, Mr. Davis was Senior Vice President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America (MBA), where he managed all financial and administrative matters including the strategy for their multimillion dollar long-term investment portfolio. Prior to MBA, Mr. Davis was the Controller for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce where he had responsibility for all financial matters including budgets, financial and management reports as well as their long-term investment portfolio.
Mr. Davis is a graduate of Benjamin Franklin University.
